Re: Kick-Ass
I think it's also key to mention that there is some heavy strobe lighting towards the end of the film, for anyone going who may be epileptic

Re: Kick-Ass
It is a pity people were turned away - there were 3 empty seats in out row and 2 just in front of us. For some reason, people did not seem to look all the way up to the back when looking for spaces.
I thought the trailer for Repo Men made it look pretty dire but then I remember thinking that about Daybreakers and I quite enjoyed that one.
I loved Kick-Ass - hilariously over the top. 9/10 from me
I too am disappointed at missing out on the opportunity to meet some more FMUKers, especially MsThrifty and a_person (I didn't know you were sitting in front of Beate when I went over to speak to her) - It would have been nice to have put a face to people that I am in touch with by pm!

I very nearly didn't get to see this film but so glad I did. I loved every minute of it. Best thing I've seen in a long while and definately one to watch again.
Didsbury screening was 100% full.

I am not epileptic but I hated it and hid behind my coat for the duration.don_datta wrote:I think it's also key to mention that there is some heavy strobe lighting towards the end of the film, for anyone going who may be epileptic

Except that I should have introduced bevvy to a_person but for some reason I thought you knew each other already! I have a FMUK badge but I always forget to wear it.

Re: Kick-Ass
Sorry bevvy, I did see you and I did want to say hello but I was feeling really crap yesterday. Got the most awful cold, sore throat blah blah blah. I don't want to introduce myself to you whilst I'm so ill as I can come across quite unfriendly! So it's a good thing I missed Ms_Thrifty too. I barely said two words to Beate yesterday! I was also feeling shy.bevvy wrote: I too am disappointed at missing out on the opportunity to meet some more FMUKers, especially MsThrifty and a_person (I didn't know you were sitting in front of Beate when I went over to speak to her) - It would have been nice to have put a face to people that I am in touch with by pm!
