2nd time I've seen this in 2 days and enjoyed it just as much.

I actually enjoyed it more as the bad mannered, talking/rustling family from Sunday weren't in tonight. It wasn't perfect, there were still 2 different couples muttering and whispering behind me for most of the film. Is it that unreasonable to ask for people to sit in silence so everyone can enjoy the film and only laugh or scream or gasp if the movie elicits such a response.

Anyway The Proclaimers won out tonight 9/10 up from yesterdays 8/10 for me o/

Nice one yogi.
I would like to say that I could uprate my score of 13/10 but since I didn't get into Edinburgh as alythonian says I never got to see it a second time. I actually sat outside in the car for 10 minutes (as I hate the sitting in the gloom looking at a blank screen) and was in the long queue before 6.15 being told individually that it was full.
THey were however offering to send out vouchers and the Vue lady was also willing to let me see something else. This proved harder than normal though as this was already my 4th film of the day. I decided to see We're The Millars again as it was the one I had seen least recently.

Didn't think you would get in SB as I got there at 5.40pm and was so early I was going for a coffee but went up the stairs first to see if my friend was around and there was a queue then!! 8O They let everyone in a ten to six as the screen was ready for us. By ten past 6 it was full. chelle1973 and her family had to sit in the front row.

It was the same as Glasgow but I reckon people were super early because it was a local holiday. There must have been about 20 or so people before 17:45. However I saw ScooterMcc past the ticket collection and said to the usher "ok to go where he is" :P

Still liking Sunshine On Leith after my third watch.

Never been much of a Proclaimers fan so I was very suprised to find this film so enjoyable (well, that is when it wasn't making me cry :tears: ) I was not expecting it to be so sad, it was advertised as a feel good movie

Very well directed and the performances were mostly good too, perhaps one or two of the actors should have had a few more singing lessons before the movie but on a whole it made a very enjoyable watch and I'm glad I got to see this on the big screen o/

This was much better than I thought it would be.
Definitely cheesy, but the singing, scenery, songs & acting were great.
I really enjoyed the predominantly Proclaimers songtrack.
I'd actually be happy to see this again. 8/10/

Well Shitsbury went up a notch or two with me as they had disabled access straight from the street to Screen 7. Although, was given the wrong information on the telephone the day before, the actual entrance is not in Shaftesbury Avenue as I was told, so when I arrived there at 10.10am, could see no lifts, rang their number and no response, I left my mum in her wheelchair at the bottom of the escalators and raced up the escalators, to see caitlinmorton already at the head of the queue. I found one staff, who was getting the cinema ready, and was told that the disabled access entrance was down the side of the building between Ripley's and the Trocadero, and she promised she would come down in five minutes to open the door for me (but she did not!).

Luckily, I arrived early, but with all the to-ing and fro-ing, meant when I got to the disabled access entrance it was already 10.25am. There was a bell to call for the box office. However, it took them ages to come down and let us in. By the time we got in, it was already 10.40am and all the back aisle seats, which was more suitable for my mum, bar one, was taken, and I had arrived so early too, to make sure we get good seats! And after all that, my mum slept all through the film! haha!

Was looking forward to a good musical like Grease or Mama Mia, so was a bit disappointed. Perhaps because I did not know the Proclaimers' songs that well, that I did not enjoy it as much as I was expecting too. Loved the finale though, in true Bollywood style, the flash mob was possibly, for me the best thing of the whole film, plus, of course, Edinburgh looking so good, makes me want to go back to Edinburgh again. I do not think the songs added much to the story and seemed a little contrived to fit the story to it, and were they lip synching? And dare I say it (sorry to all Proclaimers fans!), the songs sounded a little too samey. I think the film would have worked without the songs. And I have never "heard" an audience so silent, you could hear a pin drop, or have they all fallen asleep too! And fancy that, George MacKay turning up again, so soon after seeing him in another film! :D And what is this, "NO" to England! humph! :giggle: 6/10

Sorry, that one was partly my fault. I received a death threat from a homeless man while in the queue (sadly I'm not kidding, it was creepy as hell, that's why I was so flustered when you came up and said hi) and was reporting it to her right after we got our seats.

I didn't see the trailer beforehand and when they started singing I rolled my eyes, I'm not a big fan of musicals at all. The songs all kind of sounded the same but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I thought this was poor. The story was poor and I didn't really engage with the characters.

Having said that I really enjoyed the music.

I think I would of rather just listen to the soundtrack.

Film: 3/10
Soundtrack: 8.5/10
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."
