I saw this using a voucher on Monday and was pleasantly surprised as I really enjoyed the film. I loved the idea of everyone finding their place in society but really appreciated the meaning of each of the groups and could see how human nature in extreme could lead to the 5 groups: Abnegation, Erudite, Dauntless, Amity, and Candor. I did however feel a great empathy for the Factionless . . . in many ways this group exists in our society already with those on benefit of any kind!

The media and some politicians have created a division in society so that we often view others misfortunes as meaning they are failures and have nothing to offer to society. It is too easy for us to point the finger at THEM . . .just as the Factionless were viewed in the film.
It was a long film but I was never bored and in some ways, I preferred this to the Hunger Games which I also enjoyed. Looking forward to the next film!
