Back to the Future
Re: Back to the Future
Great to see this again, and on a big screen, even though you know the story back to front and there are no surprises... seeing it now, 25 years "in the future" also felt nostalgic and bittersweet.

Re: Back to the Future
Currently playing Back to the Future - The Game on my PS3. Its So faithful to the movies, recreating that same feel and atmosphere. Even if you are not a games player but love the movies, I recommend b*ying this game. Its very easy to play and its the story that really drives the game. Its only £16 for all 5 episodes on PS3, PC and Mac. This game is so much fun, and its great to see these characters again in a story that follows on from the movies. The voice acting is superb with Christopher LLoyd reprising his role as the Doc and the rest by soundalikes, Marty in particular uncannily sounding like MJF.
I've currently completed 2 episodes. 3 more to go!

Sounds great, it's on my Christmas list.....
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.
Re: Back to the Future
I've just got back from the Jamesons Back to the Future event and due to massive over allocation I did not get in. I think roughly a hundred people must have been turned away whilst we waited, compensated with drinks vouchers from the very friendly and apologetic guy on the door.
I did get a photo next to the Delorean with a great guy playing Doc, but it was scant consolation.
Has anyone been to these Jamesons screenings before? They told us people had been queueing two hours before the doors opened, is it always like this?

Re: Back to the Future
Sorry to hear you didn't get in, yogi. So glad now that I didn't make the journey over to Manchester tonight, would have hated to be turned away. We were put off by the queueing time that would have been required tonight, especially in the freezing cold. We were at Alien last year in the Northern Quarter, a derelict part of the building near to the AMC and it was absolutely baltic. Huge queue then too, many people turned away.
Jamesons always seem to massively oversubscribe these events which is a shame as they are usually a really good night out. ( which is also why they are so popular)

Re: Back to the Future
We also share your disappointment yogi
What a waste of time, effort and petrol. Battled our way through the Jason Manford traffic only to be turned away. Won't bother in future. Oh but the car was good.

Oh no!! I'd have been gutted!!! It's one of my top 10 fave films of all time. I can't even put my finger on why exactly but it's just become a classic 80s film.yogi wrote:It's hard to express how disappointed I am.

Glad you got a pic with the Delorian. I was sad I didn't get one when I went to the empire big screen. I did see it being pushed outside the o2 though, but like you said about your not getting into the screening, it wasn't much of a consolation to me then either.
Better luck getting in next time you go along and yes it is always really busy at these. I went to the last 2 in London and went at least and hour and half before they suggested as I knew they get silly busy due to over allocating tickets.
