I second the earlier comments. I see no issue with young kids in terms of the content, but (and this may well have been just down to the cinema)... the action scenes were VERY loud!!!evilzadi wrote:Thanks Mr. G and johns.
In fact, from where I was sitting I'm sure I heard the speakers pop.

I heard that too. I could even feel the seat and the floor beneath my feet vibrating in some scenes when the sound got really loud.don_datta wrote:In fact, from where I was sitting I'm sure I heard the speakers pop.

Re: Thor
Interesting you say that, though I dont find the cinema as loud as you describe (The Trocedero at Shaftesbury Avenue, holds the crown for that) but I always find Odeon Leicester Square to have a terrible accoustic environment. There is just too much echo. Although it is equipped with the latest SDDS 7.1 sound system, it fails to compensate for that horrible echoing which often makes the dialogue incoherent. The best "large" screen sound system is the Screen 1 Empire, perfect volume levels and accoustic environment imho.don_datta wrote:I second the earlier comments. We were downstairs, where it was very loud - was anyone in the circle and was it better there?

Re: Thor
Thats another good point, Weirdfilms and myself were upstairs in the circle and so we would most probably not have felt the base as much as you would have. The sound is marginally better up there going by your responses in the stalls. Some people actually love heavy bases with the ground vibrating. I rather have a little more balance.

Just received an email from showfilmfirst with reference to the 26 April screening posted by johns earlier on:
Please note that your ticket for Thor says Odeon Leicester - it should be Leicester SQuare, London. This has been updated but your ticket is valid!
