Is that the big one where there is a upper tier and lower tier or is it that strange dungeon type screen with the really poor incline (I think they showed A Serious Man there).

I really want to see this now - interested in how it has polarised opinions!

I thoroughly enjoyed it, now I'm squeamish with violence but that sort of stuff I don't mind as its not realistic and more cartoony. I did wonder how it got a 15 certificate not an 18 but as Mark Kermode said on one of his podcasts, its very rare for a film to get an 18 nowadays. 9/10 for me.
I was wondering what the rating was because I didn't catch it! Wow...15...ratings are getting more lenient as the years pass! ...remember KillBill !

I think it's the kind of film that people who like film previews and keeps up to date with film news and has an interest in comics would love, but I am not so sure the overall wider public will rave about...
I think it does matter on the kind of sense of humour you approach it with and also the emotions it plays with for some people. I can see alot of people not liking it too but I thought it was great.

Yeh my friend was saying he felt abit odd too.

My god, I loved this. Such a fun and funny film. A real blast. It won't be for everyone but you need to know what you're going into. If you do and you're cool with that, you'll love this. I was sorry that it had to end.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

This was easily the most enjoyable film ive seen in 2010 so far. Im not a film buff and I dont take things too serious, so this was just my cup of tea.

A 9/10 from me

saw in the haymarket, too. i went with a twenty something friend who is a teenage boy-wannabe. and a gamer. he loved this film. he sniggered and giggled and guffawed. i, as some other poster above said, must have no pulse as i hated it. as 'superhero' said above - i absolutely thought it is not funny, not witty, and not as postmodern as it thinks it is. btw i love superhero stuff, usually, and read comics. it felt it was written by focus group - 'this does well in public opinion - we'll put it in.'; 'young people like that we'll put that in'; 'gamers like that so in it goes'.

the young child did act her part very well tho. she was the highlight of the film. but she is not enough to carry a very weak script.

i am sure it will do tremendously well with the target section of the populace.

furthermore they are advertising this hard. be warned there is a lot of swearing (the f-word appears in almost every scene for the first 15 mins); sexual stuff (18 yo boys & their bedroom humour) and some gruesome bloodletting. so it is definitely not suitable for the young ones - i saw this trailer in the cinema with the 10 year old nephew. he is was really looking forward to it so will be very disappointed when he finds out he can't go.

off to check my pulse now... (blue face as i must be dead already)

This has to be best film of 2010 so far, hilarious and entertaining, and an original story which is very rare in Hollywood nowadays. One of the few movies i would actually b*y on dvd, and deserved the applause at the end, the only other film ive seen this happen in was Zombieland, and that was also a film i loved!

10/10 without doubt

Awful, a dull film full of painfully dated cultural references that even now are old, let alone in 5 years time.
Accompanied with one note characters, a poor pace, no plot, an absurd change from a realism opening to a bat out stupid finale, and not one likable person in the film.

Painful.
2/10
