saw in the haymarket, too. i went with a twenty something friend who is a teenage boy-wannabe. and a gamer. he loved this film. he sniggered and giggled and guffawed. i, as some other poster above said, must have no pulse as i hated it. as 'superhero' said above - i absolutely thought it is not funny, not witty, and not as postmodern as it thinks it is. btw i love superhero stuff, usually, and read comics. it felt it was written by focus group - 'this does well in public opinion - we'll put it in.'; 'young people like that we'll put that in'; 'gamers like that so in it goes'.
the young child did act her part very well tho. she was the highlight of the film. but she is not enough to carry a very weak script.
i am sure it will do tremendously well with the target section of the populace.
furthermore they are advertising this hard. be warned there is a lot of swearing (the f-word appears in almost every scene for the first 15 mins); sexual stuff (18 yo boys & their bedroom humour) and some gruesome bloodletting. so it is definitely not suitable for the young ones - i saw this trailer in the cinema with the 10 year old nephew. he is was really looking forward to it so will be very disappointed when he finds out he can't go.
off to check my pulse now...

(blue face as i must be dead already)
